The Prize Giving for the Clean & Green Environment Art Competition was successfully concluded recently at Excel World. Organized by the Quality & Environmental Management Team of Browns Pharmaceuticals Division, the exhibition showcased the colourful and incredible talent of the children of Browns Group employees.
The Art Competition was designed to encourage the younger generation to explore their creativity through art, while promoting awareness and action for a sustainable future. The participants ranging from the ages 7-15 were given a platform to showcase their work, impressing the panel of judges and spectators alike.
The prize giving was attended by key officials from the Browns Group; Mr. Sanakan Thamotharampillai, Director/CEO and Mr. Susaan Bandara, Chief Officer - Marketing & Communications, LOLC Group. They were joined by Mr. Mangala Wijesinghe, Cluster Chief Operating Officer - Pharma, Consumer & Integrated Engineering Solutions, Mr. Ajith De Silva, Cluster Chief Operating Officer, Automotive & Hardware, Mr. Sanjaya Nissanka, Cluster Chief Operating Officer, Agriculture & Heavy Equipment, Mr. Sarath Gunasiri, Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Painting, Faculty of Visual Arts and Ms. Malani Nanayakkara, Lecturer, National College of Education. The senior management team of Browns and staff of Browns Pharmaceuticals Division were also present to celebrate the young artists’ achievements.
The winners were awarded in three age categories. In the 7-9 years category, Enara Nethdini claimed the coveted 1st place, closely followed by Chenuthi Wijemuni in 2nd place and Lasansa Perera in 3rd place. Among the 10-12 years participants, Senula Jayasekara secured the 1st place position, with Nimnaka Muthugala earning 2nd place and Hasandu Dinsara achieving 3rd place. Lastly, in the 13-15 years category, Randiw Sajendra emerged as the 1st place winner, while Chenul Nimsith and Binuki Binarya secured 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
