Browns Hotels & Resorts received the International Gold Winner award in the Hospitality & Travel: Conservation & Wildlife category at the Green Apple Environment Awards 2024, held at Kensington Palace, London. Recognised for its efforts to conserve the critically endangered Ratha Milla (Lumnitzera littorea), the project, led by Thaala Bentota Resort in partnership with the Department of Wildlife Conservation, included awareness campaigns, educational activities, and expert-led site protection. This global recognition highlights Browns Hotels’ role in promoting biodiversity and sustainable tourism.
