29th November 2017, Colombo: RADCO, the fastest-selling heat exchanger brand in Sri Lanka marketed by Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. celebrated a landmark achievement in the industrial and power generation sector by being the first and the only radiator brand on the Island to receive the SLS 740 and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Certifications. The awarding ceremony was held at the Marco Polo Room in Excel World.
At the grand event to celebrate the success, Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. (BTEL) facilitated its best dealers who have supported RADCO to become an established brand in Sri Lanka since its early operations. Dealers and corporate customers across the island joined the evening to celebrate the glory co-achieved by BTEL and themselves.
The achievement highlights Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd.’s quality management principles that drive the company to obtain continuous improvements through strengthening the trust in customer. Becoming the first and only radiator brand in Sri Lanka to receive Quality Standards Certifications assures that RADCO customers are granted with a consistent, conventional and efficient products and services. Welcoming the audience, Mr. Gunendra Jayasena, the CEO of Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. pledged that the company will continue to serve the customers even better in future.
The chief guest, the Director General of Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI) Mrs. Nayana Satharasinghe and the guest of honor, the Director of Product Certification Division of SLSI graced the noteworthy event of awarding RADCO with the SLS 740 and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standards Certifications.
“Both the SLS and ISO Quality Standards are offered to organizations that specify requirements for a quality management service with proven ability to persistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Those essentially enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including the processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to the customer and applicable statuary and regulatory requirements. RADCO well fulfills these requirement”, Mrs. Nayana Satharasinghe, the Director General of Sri Lanka Standards Institute noted in her speech.

Rathakrishnan and other distinguished officials and factory staff members were also a part of the grand evening.
Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt.) Limited is a manufacturing arm of Browns & Company PLC, marketing their products under RADCO brand. The company is the largest heat exchanger manufacturer in Sri Lanka holding 65% in the motor vehicle radiator market while the market share for other heat exchanger category hikes up to 85%. Brown and Company has been manufacturing radiators since 1968 and branded Browns radiators as RADCO in 2009 and strategically expanded the product portfolio within a short period. Today, RADCO has become the most sought-after name in the industrial and power generation market with a diverse product portfolio that includes automotive radiators, coolers used in generators, locomotives, off shore salt laden environment radiators, earth moving equipment and technology etc. BTEL is one of the main suppliers to Sri Lanka Railway, Sri Lanka Transport Board, Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Sri Lanka Fisheries Corporation and many other private fleet owners in Sri Lanka.
