Browns Batteries, a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Brown & Company PLC, successfully concluded its Dealer Convention at the Shangri-La Colombo recently. The convention saw the participation of over 650 participants including Browns battery dealers. The theme of the event this year was ‘Browns Bala Adhipathi Balamuluwa’. The Browns Battery Dealer Convention celebrates the achievements of Browns battery dealers who have showcased exceptional performances in terms of sales volume, year on year growth, market coverage, customer service and business development.

Browns Thermal Engineering (Pvt) Ltd (BTEL), the manufacturing arm of Browns Group, recently signed an agreement with Banco Products Limited (India), a leader in engine cooling systems for both automotive and industrial applications. The agreement will make Browns a distributor of world renowned quality products such as a complete range of aluminum plastic auto radiators, auto AC condensers, charger coolers and radiator parts. Danesh Abeyrathne – Chief Operating Officer; Thamotharampillai Sanakan – Chief Financial Officer; Nagarasa Rathakrishnan – Chief Process Officer; and Paduma Subasasinghe – Senior Vice President, Group Human Resources, were present on behalf of Brown & Company PLC at the signing of the agreement.

The event, which took place at the BMICH, was organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) to recognize the efforts and performance of sales personnel.

The launch was held as a part of this year’s annual gathering of the Society of Companion Animal Practitioners’ Sri Lanka which is affiliated with the World Society of Companion Animal Practitioners. Browns Tours, in partnership with 12Go Asia, has launched a total logistics solution for tourists to travel within Sri Lanka thus allowing them to visit distant areas that may have been otherwise missed. It is believed that this in turn will bring some much-needed income to local businesses in those areas as well.
